Workout 3

Was a pretty tough and long workout today, I did “Workout Day 1.

The 6 sets of Squats is somewhat of a killer, especially after a 15 minute HIIT run. I increased the incline of the HIIT run to 1 (not much I know, but little steps!). I plan to increase this half an incline point each run to keep my body on its toes.

I had free roam of the gym today, there was only me and a single other guy there. Nobody likes working out on a Sunday for some reason, but being able to use whatever equipment I want, when I want is a good thing.

I had to change “Workout Day 1″ to have only 3 sets of Deadlifts, not 6, was just too much for my poor back and heart after the Squats and Over and Underhand Row. The workout sheet now reflects this change, and the spreadsheets have been updated with my weights accordingly.

Here are the details from my watch and heart rate monitor:

As a side note, I have a friend that has his own fitness blog. He is somewhat more dedicated to the diet side of things, choosing to use a Paleo Diet. If you are interested you can check out his blog here : http://ladlam.wordpress.com

2 hours in the gym? Tooooooo long! Sounds like a pretty full on day though, keep it up man.

Yahh it is a long time but I just get in the zone. At the end of the workout I was struggling but I pushed it out. Then came home and mowed the lawn straight after ahaha. This body is full of energy, making up for the lazy years of my life.
